October Borrel: Burgemeester Jansen on the Puishaven

Burgemeester Jansen on the Puishaven

12 October 2012

by Yolonda van Riel

October’s borrel was held at Burgemeester Jansen on the Puishaven. The pub was very lively andhad a real local feel on this Friday evening! We had a small but talkative group and enjoyed getting our weekend started over a cold beverage (or two) and some yummy snacks. It was a great way to kick off the weekend!

If you’ve never joined us for a borrel, you are missing out on a fun and relaxing way to start the weekend. Check the website for the location of next month’s borrel and join us … the first drink is always on TIC!!

Moving On?

As with most international clubs, it is the nature of the member population that people come and go as their work and personal lives
change and grow.  As such, we would love the opportunity to say a proper “goodbye” to anyone who may be leaving the club.  If you are moving on, please do let us know so we can bid you a fond farewell (and take you off that pesky mailing list!;)

TIC Book Club: The Art of Fielding” by Chad Harbach

Review by Anne van Oorschot

On September 26th, the club members met to discuss The Art of Fielding, by Chad Harbach, the summer read chosen at our last gathering in June.  All found it an interesting book.

Henry is an extremely talented & error-free baseball player who finds himself (more…)
