A cold and icy evening set the perfect backdrop for a night of ice hockey! After finally finding a good spot to watch the game, we settled in to cheer the Tilburg Trappers on to victory over Eindhoven. The first period got off to a slow start and at the end … it was 0–1 and not looking good.
During the second period, the Trappers began their comeback but among the blood on the ice and the hard hits, the score at the end of the second period was 1-2. We were beginning to get a little worried but we were still having a good time listening to the cool music and watching the various types of entertainment during the break. Then the third period began. The Trappers came out ready to play and outscored Eindhoven 5-0 in the third period making the final score Trappers 6 – Eindhoven 2!
We celebrated with a drink (or two) afterwards in the Overtime Sportsbar while listening to some live music and shaking hands with the players. It was worth braving the cold for this exciting event!
