Monthly Borrel at Cafe Noir

The borrel in May was held at the cozy location of Café Noir. We had a small group but a lot of fun catching up over cold beverages. The weather was nice and Café Noir was just the right way to get the weekend started. This month’s borrel was sponsored by former members Katie and Alerk and their generous donation covered the entire evening … not just the first drink! Much thanks to our friends – TIC misses you!

We had a nice group of 9 join in on this evening to see the new IMAX action/sci-fi flick, Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise. At our last book club meeting, six of us discussed the thriller “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn at Anne’s home in Tilburg.
Gone Girl
“Gone Girl” is the story of a husband and wife told in different perspectives of the disappearance of Amy, the wife of Nick. Their marriage, and Amy’s disappearance, isn’t what it seems as the reader soon learns.
