Mala Raman, Communications & Outreach

Tilburg International Club has come a long way from its start in 2008.  Since we started the club, I’ve contributed invarious capacities on the Board and have enjoyed seeing the club from all different perspectives. I’m currently in the role of strengthening our online presence, supporting the growth of our membership base and developing sustainable business partnerships.

Our Online Presence

Our communications priority has always been to create a strong online awareness of our club, events, goals and attractive membership benefits through Facebook (feel free to visit now!), Twitter @tilintclub, Instagram @tilburg_international_club and, of course, our own Tilburg International Club website. We rely on our members, guests, sponsors and community leaders to help spread the word about what our club can offer internationals in Brabant.

Virtual/in-Person Events

We continue to focus on reaching out to even more internationals in and around the Tilburg area.  Over time and with experience, tíc has improved the quality as well as the variety of its events.  We pride ourselves on offering a well-rounded assortment of workshops, outings, social gatherings and Dutch-oriented, cultural and educational lectures.  As such, we would love to be able to share all of this with expats who may not know about our club yet.

Member Benefits

We continue to offer many benefits to our membership group and we will be looking to expand the range of these benefits through sponsorships and partnerships.  As we take on more sponsors, members will have even more activities that they can join free of charge or at very attractive prices. We are also actively pursuing partnerships with various organisations that will specifically benefit the expat community.

Membership Growth

Our membership has been steadily growing over time. Internationals join our club for unique opportunities to socialise, network and learn about The Netherlands and Dutch culture. For expats far from home and/or who don’t get home very often, tíc offers a ready-made support system that promotes fun, laughter, education and strong friendships. Time and again, when asked, this is why expats join our club and renew their memberships year after year.
