25.09.2021. The tilburg international club (tíc) once again kicked-off another club season with its annual Welcome Event; this year at RAW Restaurant in the Spoorzone.

Once again, a great Welcome Event from the Tilburg International Club!

The afternoon started with a warm greeting, of course, by tic board members and an official welcome from Tilburg City Council member, Vice-Mayor Oscar Dusschooten.

I’m not much for virtual, so this was so refreshing to enjoy real, human contact! Of course, the space was great as were the goodies provided, but it was such an interesting group of people of so many ages and backgrounds.

I met people from, at least, 8 different countries, and could have spent hours with each. However, the way things were arranged, we did get to know a little but about quite a few of the participants.

It would have been easy to just sit down with someone your might already know, but the games allowed and required you to mix it up, meet and learn about your table-mates, and create a sense of competition just for fun!

After the fun & games, we spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying light snacks and chatting with other internationals living in the region.

Kudos to the TIC board for all the hard work they put into keeping this organization going throughout the pandemic for all of us to enjoy!
