tíc Membership and Benefits
Started in March of 2008, the tilburg international club has already hosted many activities to meet the needs and wishes of its international members living in and around the area of Tilburg.
tíc is a non-profit volunteer organization that:
- Provides social, educational and networking activities for internationals living in and around Tilburg;
- Represents the international community to local governmental bodies; and
- Aims to further positive relations among people of different nationalities
Our members join us from around the world, 30 different countries and counting! We try to provide information, activities and events that support and enhance the experiences of our expat member families while living in the Netherlands, whether they are here short-term or indefinitely! Guests are Welcome!
Guests are always welcome at #TilburgInternationalClub events. It’s a great way to get a feel for the club, our members and the types of events you can come to expect as a member. In the past, many of our guests have become members after a full tíc experience!
Many expats feel, even after living in the Netherlands for a longer period of time, never fully welcomed into Dutch society and therefore, never feel an affinity with the culture. A key upside to being a guest of tíc, is getting out to meet locals, learning about the country, better understanding social routines and customs all within a supportive group of individuals and families with like circumstances. Suggest a volunteer activity
tíc has set a goal to support a different charity every year whether by fundraising, event participation or volunteer work. This past June, tíc chose to support the charity Nacht van de Vluchteling (Night of the Refugees).
A small of group of tíc members not only participated in the event by walking a 20 km route, they also raised a total €950 for the foundation. tíc is currently looking for a good cause to support for our 2019-2020 club year. (more…)
