Hot Topic: How to Raise Multilingual Children
18 March 2021. by Anne-Lise Artaud. We had a very lovely evening around a hot topic for us expat. How to raise multilingual children? This subject was presented and all our questions answered by an experienced researcher that has herself personal experience on this matter. It was very interesting to learn about the flexibility and resilience of children that from a young age are able to learn and retain different languages.
Language forms part of our identity
The Netherlands is a country that welcomes a large number of immigrants and expats, making it a very culturally rich and diverse nation. A part of this cultural diversity is the great variety of languages spoken both inside and outside the home. And, language forms an important part of who we are.
Anita has something to say about Morning Mug
If human ingenuity has no limits, that of the tíc Events Team manages to exceed even that. In the midst of a pandemic, which qualifies pre-eminently as force majeure, no one would have blamed the team if they had shelved their efforts and waited for more propitious times. Expanding our virtual world
Indomitable, they grabbed the virtual world by the horns and ran with it. Virtual parties with Netflix and boardgames, then with goodies delivered to the door, same with a virtual beer tasting session, and the Book Club zoomed on regardless and for those starved of human company the Morning Mug was born.

Game Night was Game On!
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
25 Jan 2021. by Nikos Basbas. Game lovers got together for a night of fun and fierce competition!
Our Game Night Experience
Last week’s game night with the Tilburg International Club was fun! I did not expect playing board games online can be so easy and enjoyable. Around nine households joined, and we played Code Names which I would describe as a combination of Skribbl.io (Pictionary game from our Holiday borrel) and Monopoly. It was some cross between buying property (like land) in Monopoly and trying to get as many cards (laid out on a board) as possible in Code Names. (more…)
