Great news! We’re excited to announce the launch of TICmums this season!
This will be a special space for all moms to share their motherhood experiences, tips and tricks, and most importantly, plan regular baby/kid-friendly meetups where everyone can have fun.

We kicked off our Book Club night in style, with the author, Lisa See, joining us remotely to discuss her latest novel, Lady Tan’s Circle of Women. Lisa kindly answered our questions and gave us fascinating behind-the-scenes insights into her writing process.
This wasn’t our first conversation with Lisa. Back in March 2022, we had the opportunity to talk with her about The Island of Sea Women.
Anne and I enjoyed this little jewel a lot on the last Friday of May, and yes, there were only two of us representing TIC. It was bit of disappointment in the beginning, but we enjoyed our movie night and each other’s company nevertheless. I had never heard about this movie before and did not have any idea what the movie was about. This lack of foreknowledge can be a good ingredient for a great movie experience.

It was again a full house to discuss Circe by Madeline Miller! This book, published in 2018 and widely acclaimed, is a retelling of Greek mythology from the perspective of the witch Circe. The novel beautifully chronicles Circe’s journey of self-discovery and her encounters with famous figures from Greek myths like the Minotaur, Medea, Daedalus, and Odysseus.
The story is old, but Miller’s approach is fresh and engaging.
VISIT AND ENJOY HAPPY HOUR IN PEERKE DONDERS-PARK SEPTEMBER 14th
Peerke Donders Park is a little gem in Tilburg-north. It shows the cultural heritage of Tilburg with 3 national monuments in a charming setting. Peerke Donders is the most well known Tilburg citizen and is considered a symbol and example of compassion, self-sacrifice and charity. He is commemorated in/with this park on the spot where he was born. The pavilion in the middle of the park is (also) a little museum with changing exhibits.
