We had a full house to discuss The Wind Knows my Name. Overall, most enjoyed the book a lot, especially all the characters and their relationships with each other. Someone pointed out the significance of the names of characters, which seemed carefully chosen to represent the person and gave us an interesting angle with which to view them. We also discussed how skillfully the author
weaves complex stories through each other. And despite their differences, the characters had many parallels to each other and to many other world events in the past and now. In fact, we also discussed quite a lot about how current news events fit into the broader issues captured in the book. All in all it was a lively discussion with the general consensus being this is a book worth reading!
