VISIT AND ENJOY HAPPY HOUR IN PEERKE DONDERS-PARK
SEPTEMBER 14th
Peerke Donders Park is a little gem in Tilburg-north. It shows the cultural heritage
of Tilburg with 3 national monuments in a charming setting. Peerke Donders is
the most well known Tilburg citizen and is considered a symbol and example of
compassion, self-sacrifice and charity. He is commemorated in/with this park
on the spot where he was born.
The pavilion in the middle of the park is (also) a little museum with changing
exhibits. Right now they show an exhibit around international aspects of
Tilburg. Four of our members were interviewed for the exhibit and their
portraits and stories are shown as part of the history of the city. The pavilion is
reserved for us on that Saturday and we will have the chair of the Peerke
(Peter) Donders foundation as a guide.
There will be ample drinks and snacks.
